A Sanctuary for Intimate Gatherings with Depth, Beauty, and Meaning.
This 5.5 acre land with panoramic views surrounded by fruit trees and lush mountains is a place to exhale.
To wake with the mountains, gather beneath open skies, move slowly, listen deeply, and remember what becomes possible when beauty, land, and intention are allowed to hold the experience.
The sanctuary invites stillness, connection, creativity, and transformation — not as a backdrop, but as part of the work itself.
Origin Story: From Virtual Village to Living Sanctuary
My Reflection Matters began as a virtual healing-centered learning community for families, educators, and self-directed learners seeking something more whole, intuitive, and liberatory.
Over time, this work began asking to be grounded — physically, spiritually, and communally — in a place where people could gather, heal, remember, and renew.
That next chapter is unfolding here in Boriké/Puerto Rico: a living sanctuary for intimate retreats, healing experiences, and soul-led gatherings.
If you are a healer, retreat leader, guide, or facilitator seeking a space that feels less like a rental and more like a living, breathing sanctuary, this place may be for you. This is not a generic venue or a beautiful backdrop for just any gathering. It is a place for intentional experiences where the land itself becomes part of the healing, reflection, and transformation.
Who This Space is For
This sanctuary is especially aligned for intimate experiences rooted in:
- healing and restoration
- embodiment and nervous system repair
- intuitive, spiritual, or ancestral connection
- creativity, reflection, and renewal
- leadership, visioning, and personal transformation
- community care gatherings for couples, affinity groups, singles, cooperatives, and more.
It is best suited for facilitators who value depth, intention, beauty, and connection over performance, volume, or transaction.
WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE DIFFERENT?
Family Owned, Boricua -Led In Reciprocity with Community
Puerto Rico is living through real pressures of displacement, rising housing costs, and outside investment that often leaves local communities carrying the weight of change.
In that context, it matters that this land remain Boricua-held and rooted in a model of stewardship that gives back.
A portion of retreat pricing is intentionally reinvested into local community, including reduced-rate access for local healers, facilitators, and community members.
When you book here, your investment helps keep this sanctuary community-rooted, cared for, and in right relationship with the land.
If that matters to you too, there is a good chance we are aligned.
The land is part of the experience
It holds intimate gatherings well
It invites a more rooted experience in relationship with local partners

WHY THIS LAND MATTERS TO ME
About Me
I’m Chemay Morales-James, a Nuyorican born in New York to two Boricua parents from the mountains of the island. My father’s hometown is just about 20 minutes from this sanctuary, which makes this journey deeply personal for me.
For me, this is about much more than stewarding a beautiful space. It is about coming home—to myself, to my ancestors, to my family’s homeland, and to the wisdom of the land that continues to guide me.
As an intuitive healer, facilitator, and space holder, I believe this sanctuary is part of my soul’s calling. It is a place where I share my own gifts, while also continuing to deepen them in relationship with the land, my Arawak/Taino and Afro-Caribbean ancestors, and the spiritual wisdom that lives here.
My hope is that this land becomes a place where others, too, can come home to themselves—a place where healing, remembrance, and meaningful transformation are held not only by the people gathered here, but by the land and the ancestors who walk with it.
A note on stewardship and timing
As this sanctuary moves through a transition in stewardship, I want to be transparent that I am currently in the process of purchasing the property.
With the owner’s full support and permission, I am beginning to accept advance retreat bookings as we move through that process.
These early bookings help support not only future reservations, but also the thoughtful preparation of the space for the 2027–2028 season, including repairs, fresh paint, and additional sleeping options to better serve retreat hosts and their guests.
I share this in the spirit of transparency, trust, and care for those considering gathering here.
An evolving vision for the land
This sanctuary is part of a larger vision for the land itself.
In partnership with local farmers and medicine workers, I hope to cultivate a medicinal garden and small farm that can nourish retreats, gatherings, and community events through fresh, farm-to-table meals and land-based learning.
My intention is for this finca to be a place where local healers, farmers, and facilitators can offer workshops, share their gifts, and remain connected to the life of the land—while also welcoming aligned retreat hosts from beyond the local community whose presence helps sustain and support its continued evolution.
