Tierra

There’s a reason my spirit is being pulled so hard toward Borikén, Puerto Rico right now. And it’s not just personal—it’s political, spiritual, and ancestral.

At a time when wealthy investors are rapidly displacing Puerto Rican families and descreating land for profit, I feel the call to protect what is still sacred. To act not out of fear, but out of fidelity–to my people, to the land, and to a future rooted in care.

Years ago, in the midst of a global rupture (COVID), I created a virtual village (My Reflection Matters Village) that included 1,000+ families seeking liberation from oppressive norms. What began as a refuge for self-directed, consent-based education and parenting became something deeper: a community grounded in healing, ancestral wisdom, and inner sovereignty.

That work has evolved.

Today, the call is no longer limited to unschooling families. It is expanding to hold social change-makers, activists, women and femme leaders, and those who feel a deep responsibility to nurture their communities without sacrificing themselves in the process.

This next chapter is not about hustle. It is about coherence.

The land in Borikén–where we have already gathered for healing and transformational experiences–is ready to become a sanctuary for leaders who are done with depletion and ready to root their impact in embodied alignment. A space where inner-work and outer change are not separate.

What was once a “community in the sky” is now being invited en la tierra. From virtual to visceral. From gathering to grounding.

This is an evolution–not a replication. And it is time to steward it forward.

This land in Borikén—where we’ve already hosted three healing experiences—is ready for us. And we are ready for her. My focus is to secure the initial funding to seed this soul project. Read on to learn more.

The Vision...

This project is a living relationship with land, community, and remembrance.

Rooted in the understanding that true liberation is something we return to—not something we are given—this space is being cultivated as a place where people can reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the intelligence of the earth.

At this moment in time, many of the systems that once shaped how we live and relate are shifting. Rather than seeing this as something to fear, this land holds it as an invitation—to reflect on how we’ve been living, and to explore more grounded, reciprocal ways of being with each other, the land, and the wisdom that has always been here.

This sanctuary exists for those who feel called to remain steady within that change—healers, facilitators, artists, organizers, and community stewards who are supporting others through these times. It is a place to return to coherence, to restore clarity and balance, and to deepen the inner foundation needed to continue that work in the world.

Through retreats, gatherings, and everyday stewardship, we cultivate an environment where people can slow down, listen, and reconnect with what is essential.

One of the first expressions of this vision is the creation of a small finca and herbal garden, developed in collaboration with local farmers and curanderas. This space will provide nourishing food and medicinal plants while serving as an outdoor classroom—where participants can learn and carry forward Afro-Taíno traditions of being in relationship with the land, both physically and spiritually.

The land is not a backdrop here—it is the teacher.

Everything that unfolds on this land is in service of remembering how to live in reciprocity, how to tend to what sustains us, and how to move through this time with presence, care, and connection.

Healing

The trees on this land carry stories of survival.

Like the sacred Tabonuco, which survived Hurricane Maria by reaching underground to its kin, sharing nutrients and life force with those in need.

This is the kind of network we're building.

And this land is our mycelial hub.

Our Community Says:

The Village retreat catalyzed my profound personal healing and transformation, addressing generational traumas and fears. I experienced a significant moment of clarity that allowed me to finally release societal and familial constraints, fostering a deep sense of purpose and fearlessness. As someone deeply involved in community healing, I passionately advocate for the continuation of these life-changing retreats because they play an irreplaceable role in fostering health, freedom, and community.

We’re not just purchasing land.

We’re planting a future—rooted in memory, mutual care, and radical joy.

Our Community Says:

These retreats have profoundly impacted my life and the community. Teaching and sharing my gifts in such a welcoming and dynamic space allowed me to witness an incredible amplifying effect. The experience was both nurturing and transformative, fostering growth that feels organic and alive.

Ways to Seed & Experience the Land

The seller and I have come up with a purchase agreement of this incredible place! He and is family are generously giving me the opportunity to raise funds to seed this soul work.

There are a few ways to be part of this space, depending on how you feel called to engage.

🌿 FOUNDING CIRCLE (RELATIONSHIP)
🏡 RETREAT BOOKINGS (ACCESS)

🫶🏽 Rooted in Reciprocity

This sanctuary is being stewarded with a commitment to reciprocity with the local community.

A portion of the energy and resources generated through this space will be directed toward:

  • supporting local practitioners and collaborators
  • creating accessible offerings for community members on the island
  • building a scholarship fund for local healers, artists, and organizers to gather, host, and share their work here

Each founding member contributes to the growth of this fund and the expansion of access over time.

🌿 FOUNDING CIRCLE

A deeper relationship with the land.

As this land transitions into its next chapter, I’m opening a limited opportunity for a small group of individuals (8-12) to become Founding Stewards of the space.

This is an invitation to support the creation of a sanctuary rooted in connection—to land, to ancestry, and to community—while entering into an ongoing relationship with it. This founding phase will remain open until the initial circle of 10–12 members is complete.

There are two pathways, depending on how you feel called to engage:

This gathering will serve as a way to:

  • support the ongoing care and stewardship of the land
  • expand accessible offerings for the local community
  • provide scholarships for those who feel called to this work but may not otherwise have access

Founding members will be warmly invited to attend this annual gathering, as part of the extended community helping to sustain and grow this space.

Our Community Says:

You have a unique opportunity. To pour into something the Earth is aching for. Not just another program— But a true shift in frequency. A return to what is sacred… and sustaining. When I attended the retreat, something in me softened. The distractions quieted. My true self came forward. And I remembered. I remembered who I am. *This* is what we’re offering. A return. A reconnection. A space where love takes root again— And from that root: More life. More fruit. More truth. It begins with me. And I pray… that the frequency of these words touches your heart. Because this… This is how the new world grows.
